Organic Atlas Cedar - Essential Oil - BULK
Regular price $0.45Atlas cedar is a majestic tree native to the Atlas Mountains in North Africa, not to be confused with the Canadian thuja, commonly wrongly called cedar. Cedar wood is hard and highly aromatic due to the essential oil it contains, which is obtained by steam distillation. The use of cedar essential oil in perfumery and cosmetics can be traced back to the Egyptians, where it was already recognized for its lipolytic, calming and healing effects. In the mid-palate, Atlas cedar oil has a woody, sweet and more pronounced scent than thuja, slightly reminiscent of mothballs. Botanical name: Cedrus atlantica
