5 Eco-Friendly Christmas Decoration Ideas
Have you ever tried making your own Christmas decorations? In this article, Andy shows you how to do it, in an eco-friendly and affordable way .
1— A Christmas wreath
What you need: various soft woods that are easily found in the forest, such as a vine, a branch of fir, spruce or pine.
Experiment by gently bending them and see if inspiration arises. Then, you can hang some dried flowers or conifer twigs to add some charm.
Above all, NO NEED FOR GLUE, the majority of the elements can be inserted and the rest attached using a jute rope or cotton thread. Here is a video to visualize your next creation .
2— Pretty garlands
Hop! Throw oranges, apples, grapefruit, limes, and lemons into the oven. While they dry, get some jute or cotton rope. When the fruit is ready, accompany it with some branches and cinnamon sticks.
And there you have it, now you can hang it above your fireplace or TV! Need more details? Check out this link .
3— The hanging ornament
Unbreakable (in the teeth, mimine), we agree that macramé and dried fruits are essential for decorating the tree. However, if you want to do something different, opt for salt dough! Affordable and durable, this ornament can be cut, ground and painted. It's also a fun activity idea with the kids! But if you're looking for a break, send them hunting for pine cones in the yard! It's another beautiful natural decoration 😉
In short, let your imagination run wild. The important thing is to create a holiday environment that suits YOU.
4- New type fir tree
Do you think it's time to review the size of your tree? Several options are available to you, such as potting a winter bouquet or creating a mural using only 3 large branches (taken from the ground, of course)!

5— Greenery everywhere!
On windowsills, around the front door or above the bed, garlands of greenery add an instant wow effect (it even makes you want to have them all year round).
Andréanne suggests red or white pine, juniper, cedar or fir to which you can add light or a beautiful frame! Here is an explanatory link on how to install them 🌲
Psst! Add a few drops of essential oil from the Gère-Toi blend to enhance the natural scent of the branches.
